A NIght of honoring 15 years in Music, Movies and Showbiz…..

In 1998, the singing career of Tyrese Gibson was born. Tyrese signed a record deal with RCA Records and completed his first self-titled debut album, which was nominated for a Grammy and featured the smash hit, “Sweet Lady.” The young man from Watts was suddenly catapulted into sex symbol status and was awarded with an American Music Award’s title of “New Artist”. He then branched off from his singing career to find unheralded success as a male model when he drew the interest of Tommy Hilfiger and became the face of the Tommy Hilfiger line, which went on to become the most successful campaign in the industry’s history.
Tyrese’s modeling career helped him launch his winning personality into the world of TV. His visibility sky- rocketed when he landed “MTV Jams”, a TV Series, that he would host and helped to become the music channel’s highest rated show, at the same time. For years, Tyrese was a familiar face on MTV, bringing with him a loyal following. Shortly after, 2000 Watts, Tyrese’s sophomore album was released. The hit record “Just a Baby Boy”, with Snoop featuring Mr. Tan was featured on the soundtrack of Tyrese’s debut film, “Baby Boy”, written and directed by John Singleton. “Baby Boy” was not only his feature film debut, but also a lead role in a major studio picture, an unheard of feature of a non-established actor. With “Baby Boy”, Hollywood and the world took notice of Tyrese’s thespian talents.
Tyrese has since then received another Grammy nomination for his third album I Wanna Go There, in which he introduced the hit “How U Gonna Act Like That”, the first release on his second label with Clive Davis and J-Records. He has toured with the likes of Brian McKnight and has continued his acting success with starring roles in films like “2 Fast 2 Furious”, “Flight of The Phoenix”, “Four Brothers”, “Annapolis” and also costarred in Paramount Pictures Transformers.
Tyrese’s current company, HeadQuarter Entertainment is a multi media empire featuring a film and TV production company, a music studio and recording label and a talent management firm, all under one roof. Tyrese has broadened the horizons and found enormous success as a writer and producer in Hollywood, setting up one major studio project after another under his company, HQ Pictures.
Even with his breathless resume and having achieved so much success at a young age, this is just the beginning for Tyrese Gibson. He is a man that wears many hats – the singer, the actor, the model, the writer, the producer, the media mogul- and he wears them all successfully. There is nothing he can’t do, and with his vision, his inspiration and passion for his fans- Headquarter Entertainment will lead the way into anew world of media.
