The pilot of a US Airways Airbus A320 managed to crash land in the Hudson River. The plane had reportedly just taken off from LaGuardia Airport when it flew through a flock of birds, which was large enough to appear on radar. The flock of birds took out both of the planes engines. The plane had a total flight time of 6 minutes and reached an altitude of 3200 feet before it began its decent that ended in the Hudson River near 48th Street in Manhattan. Rescue workers immediately began pulling passengers from the 41 degree water as the plane slowly began to sink. Amazingly it is being reported that all of the passengers have survived.
