Meet 'Friday Night Lights' Stacey Oristano

Stacey Oristano hit her big break with
"Friday Night Lights," as the role of Mindy Collette. The role has not only given her the title of one of the hottest females on television, though more importantly, has given her quality experience as an actor and the respect from her peers.
Stacey first began her work on the series three years ago, and since then has become known as the stripper with a heart of gold, always ready to have a good time. This season kicked off on January 16, 2009 with Mindy's engagement to Billy Riggins (Derek Phillips). Throughout season three, Stacey's character will be planning her wedding to Billy, while learning to live with the volatile Riggins brothers. Catch Stacey on
"Friday Night Lights" on NBC Fridays at 9:00 PM. Everyone is wondering if the show will be renewed for another season-- diehard fans can't wait to find out! Hopefully we will find out soon enough. For now, check out our interview with Stacey!
Hollywire: So you grew up with your dad around theatre- what was it like?
Stacey Oristano: It is the reason I do what I do today! I would sit backstage and watch the girls in their beautiful costumes and laughter filled every moment. I always knew I wanted to be a part of that!!
HW: Your past credits show work on the Chappelle Show? What did you do on the show?
SO: I played his girlfriend in season one. I got to work with Dave and Ice T. Funniest men ever! My costume, however, not so funny!!
HW: What has it been like playing Mindy on Friday Night Lights'?
SO: I love Mindy because I get to explore a harder more sarcastic side of myself. She kind of a badass!! Again though, I would like to wear more clothes!!
HW: Any spillers?
SO: Just look for some Mindy-fun in the planning of this wedding. And the ups and downs Lyla and I go though in dating the Riggins boys!
