Demi Lovato and Trace Cyrus Split
Trace Cyrus, band member of Metro Station and brother of Miley Cyrus, has confirmed that he and Disney star Demi Lovato have broken up.
"It's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules," he told PEOPLE.
Cyrus, adds that age was another factor in their breakup. "When someone is that much younger, you're looking for different things in relationships. Maybe when she's older and we've both matured, we'll be looking for the same thing and it can work out," he said.
"We gave it a shot and that's all you can do. Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her, it was amazing. She's someone I can totally relate to," he said.
Even though he says there are no hard feelings between the two, Lovato vented about the break-up on Twitter. "I'm sorry, was that supposed to hurt? Hm.. Oh well," Lovato wrote on her page shortly after their breakup. She continues saying "Now listen I think you and me have come to the end of our time. What'd ya want some kind of reaction? Well, okay that's fine." She even references Katy Perry's song "Ur so Gay," writing that the song is "relatable."
Even his mother Tish Cyrus decided to put in a few words on her Twitter. "I wish I was the one hurting. I wish I could switch places with you right now, because I would. You love so deeply, you deserve that back..." she wrote.
I'm not surprised this relationship didn't last. I'm not even sure why it started. Trace Cyrus, although a talented singer, looks super scary to me. Definitely not someone I would bring home to my mother.
