Former NFL Star, Plaxico Burress, Pleads Guilty To Weapons Charges

Former New York Giant's wide receiver, Plaxcio Burress pleaded guitly to weapons charges on Thursday, August 20th. Plaxico-Burress Burress was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment after accidently shooting himself in the leg with a gun he had concealed in his pocket at a nightclub. He did not have a concealed weapons permit for the gun. Plaxico-Burress Plaxico took a plea deal that carried a prison sentence of 2 years followed by 2 years of supervised release. Had he gone to trial he faced a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years in prison. His official sentencing will be on September 22.

    He broke the law and was very lucky he only hurt himself and not someone else
