The Swine Flu epidemic has been hitting celebs all of a sudden. First, Marilyn Manson, now BSB Brian Littrell.
Because of his illness, the Backstreet Boys are forced to cancel a series of scheduled performances in NY this week --including performances on The Early Show tomorrow and a guest spot at NYC PINKTOBER at the Hard Rock Cafe.
According to a statement released on Monday, the rest of the bandmembers, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and AJ McLean, all meet with doctors and are not currently showing symptoms of the flu known as H1N1. Just as a precaution, the guys are taking Tamiflu as a preventive measure.
The news was announced via the band's website on it, Brian writes: "We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of PINKTOBER, an unbelievable and important program. I hope we can come back soon and do everything we can to help."
