Twilight Eclipse = Biggest Midnight Opening Of All Time!!!

The most dedicated fans of all time made it happen --Twilight Eclipse opened last night at midnight bringing in a wopping $30 Million in sales, which makes this vampire vs. Werewolf film the biggest midnight movie opening of all time!!  Pretty impressive Rob, Kristen and Taylor! 

The Eclipse movie beat out previous record holder in it's own Twilight saga category, New Moon-- which made $26.3 million during its midnight premiere back in November 2009. In addition to all the Vampire madness, last night's opening also broke the record for best-selling IMAX midnight release, at $1 million. The previous record holder for IMAX was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which took in $959,000!

The much anticipated Eclipse saga is the 3rd out of 5 installments-- and with 3 down and 2 left to go you can bet that Twihards are already making bedazzeled signs for the 'Breaking Dawn' premiere which will be in November 2010! On a scale of 1-10 how excited are you for the Breaking Dawn film!?
