Harry Potter Star Receives Death Threats from Family

Posted on July 2, 2010 - 8:38am by loretta The brother, Ashraf Azaed, and father, Abdul Azad, of 'Harry Potter' star Afshan Azad were charged in Manchester, England's Magistrates' Court for making death threats. The incident took place at the Manchester home of Afshan, who plays Padma Patil in 'Harry Potter,' when the family began to argue over Afshan's boyfriend. The two men disapprove of the boyfriend so much that they reportedly threatened to kill Afshan because of him.

The brother also faces charges for allegedly physically attacking Afshan, leaving her bruised.

Abdul and Ashraf have been released on bail, but are due back in court on July 12th. Keeping quiet on the matter, Ashraf told reporters outside his home,

I don't want to comment on anything. We are going to get trouble from the community now. I am not happy at all. I could lose my job over this because the people at work will see this.

Well Ashraf, you should of thought of that before allegedly beating your sister. There are better ways to get your point across.
