Justin Timberlake Will Be "I'm.mortal"
Justin Timberlake has signed onto a sci-fi movie called, I'm.mortal, alongside Amanda Seyfried. The film will be directed by Andrew Niccol, famous for films such as Gattaca and The Truman Show.
I'm.mortal is set in a future in which humans have permanently stopped aging, but time must be bought in order to avoid overpopulation. JT will play a character who comes across a wealth of time....
Director Andrew Niccol's track record shows ability when it comes to crazy stories -- Gattaca centers around genetic manipulation down to being able to choose your baby's eye color. In I'm.Mortal, Justin Timberlake plays a struggling man who finds a bunch of 'time', and the film most likely centers around exploring a dark future where rich people can buy enough time to live forever. Talk about having to work to live -- literally. Timberlake will of course be on the run from the time police, with Amanda Seyfried likely playing a love interest.

The premise for I'm.mortal sounds dense but interesting, and Timberlake is a dubious choice for a serious role in a sci-fi. Timberlake is amidst shooting rom-com Friends With Benefits with Mila Kunis, and he also has comedy Bad Teacher with ex-GF Cameron Diaz due for release next year. The Social Network is due out October 1st. After the pretty terrible Southland Tales, let's hope Timberlake can get in a 'good' sci-fi film. Until then, how about that new album JT?
