Stars Splash at Comic-Con: Part 2!
After a low-profile Friday, Saturday at Comic-Con brought out the big guns, and by guns we mean hunks! Ryan Reynolds kicked things off with his panel for Green Lantern, joined by Blake Lively. Reynolds carried his distinctly fatigued panel admirably; winning over the crowd quickly with charm, wit, and sincerity.

Vanessa Hudgens stormed the stage next with her latest film Sucker Punch, directed by Zack Snyder -- the director of 300. Sucker Punch revolves around a cast of females confined in an insane asylum, racing against the clock before they're lobotomized (yikes!). The film goes into literal translations of their fantasies of escape, which include fighting dragons, WW1 trench warfare, and samurai sword matches. And, not to mention, there will be burlesque & ballet dancing. Described as Alice in Wonderland meets One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Sucker Punch sounds intriguing!

"I got to grow and unleash something I've never never done before."
The next superhero hottie, Chris Evans, took time off filming for Captain America to showoff the latest footage for the comic book action set in the 1940s. Shooting has only gone on for little over a week, but Evans sounded ready and excited to helm another tentpole franchise, whilst keeping grounded and grateful:
"I'm trying to put the magnitude of the project in a separate part of my brain!"
Newcomer Chris Hemsworth, who we briefly saw as Captain Kirk's young father in last summer's hit Star Trek, finished things off Saturday with his panel for the comic book film Thor, centered around a warrior god from another planet who, after serious family issues, gets banished to....Earth! His love interest is played by Natalie Portman, who stole most of the fanboy crowd's attention -- at just cause.
Portman on her character:
"It was really exciting to be a scientist on screen, as it's rare to see as a woman."

Hemsworth on preparing for his role:
"Through the process you fill yourself with any influence you could. It's about being inundated with as much of Thor's world as I could."
Robert Downey Jr. & Samuel L. Jackson surprised an already blown away audience by announcing the ultimate superhero movie, The Avengers, which will bring the duo alongside Scarlet Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, & Mark Ruffalo together as their Marvel universe superheroes fight against the ultimate enemy!

It was great day for Comic-Con, and a great day for entertainment fans all over, filled with passionate and talented celebs giving their appreciation to those who brought them there! We're looking forward to next year!
