Bristol Palin's Reason for Joining "Dancing With the Stars"

Bristol Palin DWTS

Bristol told UsMagazine,

I just wanted to do it because it's so fun. It's positive and it's a good competition. I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and have a good time.

As for her #1 fan... Mom, Sarah Palin. Bristol says,

She's always been my No. 1 fan. Of course, she'll be down here [cheering me on].

The dancer she's is most worried about are Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey and singer Brandy because "they both have some dance experience," she says.

I think this will take her out of the dweeb category even though she won't win. This contest is for the uninhibited. She's been sheltered all her life and may not be able to accept being touched in areas that she considers off limits--which is necessary for the guy to do in order to move her around. We'll see!

Yes, Bristol will be great! She is a lovely young lady who doesn't deserve to be a victom of negativity. It's a dance show - leave politics out of it.

What in any way qualifies BP to be a contestant on this show other than the fact that she's the daughter of the notorious SP? It appears that this opportunity presents itself solely on the basis of a notable parent. Is this acceptable criteria? No I think not. How about giving some aspiring dancers who have worked hard a chance at this.

She didn't ask for the publicity that was given to her and America wouldn't give her the privacy she deserved. Since you all forced her into the spotlight, she might as well turn it into a positive since she is taking responsibility for her baby and not expecting taxpayers to support her. Best of luck Bristol and don't be afraid to move your hips!

I don't even want to watch this year because of her. She is not a "star". She is a teenage mother. She should stay home and take are of her child.
