Zac Efron Fighting Justin Timberlake For 'Memphis' Role!
According to the New York Post, Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake are both anxious to play the lead role in the film adaptation of the Tony-winning musical, Memphis.
The Charlie St. Cloud sweetheart attended Tuesday night's production, making it his second visit to the show in a month. His girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, and Adam Shankman, the producer of Efron's famous flicks Hairspray and 17 Again accompanied the sizzling star.

Although there has been no confirmation that Memphis will be made into a movie yet, Efron isn't the only actor that wants the role of radio DJ, Huey Calhoun. Justin Timberlake, who was coincidentally born in Memphis, saw the show back in May.
Powerhouse director Oliver Stone also checked out the musical. According to the Post, Stone's rep confirmed that he met with one of the show's writers, Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, about creating a film adaptation of the popular Broadway show.
Efron has the musical background to take on the role without a doubt. The teen heartthrob starred in High School Musical, Hairspray and was originally cast as the lead in the remake of Footloose -- but eventually backed out of the project. However, it is rumored that Stone wants Timberlake to play Calhoun.
Who do you think is the best choice for the project!? Zac Efron or Justin Timberlake!?
