AJ Michalka EXCLUSIVE: 'Secretariat', Diane Lane & 78Violet!
AJ Michalka, who stars as Kate Tweedy in the upcoming Disney flick, Secretariat, opened up to Hollywire about her latest film project amongst many other fabulous things. The talented blonde chatted about her inspiring role in Secretariat, working with Hollywood heavyweight Diane Lane and of course her pop duo group, 78 Violet!

The adorable actress, who revealed she grew up riding horses, told Hollywire she was blown away by the incredible story. "It changed the horse-racing world," said the 19-year-old beauty.
Michalka admitted she was ecstatic to work with Diane Lane in Secretariat and absolutely raved about working with the talented actress. "I've been a huge fan of hers for years. She's so beautiful, professional and kind of a mother-type," said the starlet. "She is just such an inspiring person to be around and to watch. She's really a giving actress."
As for Michalka's biggest challenge in taking on the role of Kate Tweedy? "I just don't want to let her down," humbly quipped the talented cutie. Michalka revealed to Hollywire that she spent a lot of time with real-life Kate Tweedy prepping for her role in the movie.
"It's inspiring, riveting and emotional. During the screening I was literally standing up and screaming while watching it. I was breathing so hard and sweating," said the young blonde bombshell of seeing the movie for the first time.
The movie's theme song, It's Who You Are, is sung by AJ Michalka herself. "We were doing a table read one night and the director realized I could sing -- and he asked me to lend my vocals to the song! I was so excited," revealed the talented actress of how her involvement with the flick's theme song came about.
Michalka also revealed to Hollywire that she and her sister, Aly Michalka (Hellcats), are constantly writing music and will most likely be putting out a new 78 Violet album early next year. "Our music has not been abandoned at all!," said AJ.
