Demi Lovato 'Stands Up to School Bullying'
The Disney teen sensation made an appearance at the CNN News Room today to talk about her personal experience with bullying and her campaign to fight against it. Demi supports PACER, an organization set up to provide awareness about school bullying prevention.

Demi admits that she was bullied in public school so much that she decided to be home schooled. She said that she received a lot of verbal harassment and that a hate letter was circulated that really did a lot of damage. Demi's past experiences with bullying still have an effect on her -- and now she is bringing awareness to the problem! She said to overcome what was happening to her had a lot to do with focusing her energy toward what she loved: music (and family).

Demi said that she is fearful for her little sister who attends public school and hopes she'll not have to endure what she did. It is estimated that 10-15% of all students are bullied.
