Behind the Scenes of Harry Potter—the Epic Series Finale!
There are exactly three weeks until the first section of the epic Harry Potter series is released! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, an adaption from the final book by J.K. Rowling, will make its theater debut on November 19th! Take a look behind the scenes with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, along with their directors and producers!

If you have not read the books, I will give you a brief summary: Harry Potter tells the story of a young boy who defeated the evil Lord Voldemort when he was only a year old. His parents were killed during the struggle and he was sent to live with his Muggle Aunt and Uncle (non-wizarding folk). At eleven he was told of his lineage; that he is a wizard and he began to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The series tells of his trials and tribulations throughout the six years he spends at the institution. This final chapter tells the tale of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), and his best friends Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) who, together, journey far from home to complete an impossible task: killing the most evil wizard who ever lived—Lord Voldemort.

Director David Yates explains, “I think the most intriguing part about Hallows Part One is that we are not at Hogwarts anymore. Suddenly you take them out in the world and they feel very small in this very big world—it’s a very real world and a very dangerous world.”

This is very true; they are no longer within the protection of their school, friends, and families. “It’s a huge journey for all three of them,” says producer David Barron.
However, this quest isn’t about any one of them, “the reason they’re here, the reason they are on this journey is much bigger than any of them or even all three of them. What’s at stake is more important than any of their lives.” Daniel tells us.

Producer, David Heyman explains that the issue is that they “need to destroy Voldemort in order to save the whole wizarding world.” That is why this mission is so much larger than any of them. If they fail, the whole world will suffer the consequences.
This undertaking is no walk in the park either. Rupert tells us: “We’re all on the run and anything can happen. We could get attacked at any moment. Nowhere is safe.” But Emma explains, that is what “makes it very exciting.”

There is promise that these last two films will stand paramount to the whole series. Not only is this the final scene in the culmination of the brilliant writing of J.K. Rowling, but also the conclusion of years of hard work. According to Emma, “there will be no movies after this. Therefore there is this feeling on set that everyone is just giving their all to it.”
So, get your tickets to this unforgettable cinema event! November 19th is not a day to miss!
