Mariah Carey Dishes on Pregnancy

Now that Mariah Carey officially announced that she's pregnant, rumors of how she conceived are beginning to circulate.

Mariah spoke with Us Weekly, dismissing reports that she used IVF to get pregnant and never gave up on having a baby.

Although she didn't use IVF, Mariah did start taking progesterone, which is a hormone that boosts fertility and helps maintain pregnancy in women susceptible to miscarriage.

Her husband Nick Cannon stated that Mariah also received "once-a-day" acupuncture treatments "all over her body." "I think it helped her quite a bit, because it was a good destressor," Nick added.

Once the fertility questions were out of the way, Nick and Mariah talked about the excitement of being pregnant. "We definitely cried. We still cry all the time. It's an emotional journey," Nick said.
