Christina Aguilera Reacts to 'X Factor' Performance
Christina Aguilera took the X Factor stage this week to perform her song Express from her Golden Globe-nominated musicial film Burlesque, but viewers weren't too happy with the performance.
The Daily Express reports that her performance on the television show received over 1,000 complaints from viewers saying that the song and dance was too provocative for prime-time television.

Formerly known as "Xtina," Aguilera is standing by her shimming dancing number when she spoke about the controversary at the U.K. premiere of the film. Christina said, "I don't think there is such a thing as too raunchy when it comes to the art form of burlesque. It's very empowering to women to feel confident in their own skin and in their bodies and this represents that. Everyone in the spotlight is judged and there are many opinions out there, but I stick true to what I believe in."

While viewers may not have approved of Aguilera's dance routine, she returned to the X Factor stage that night to perform her song Beautiful with X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson, who said performing with the famous songtress was a career high.

Ferguson spoke to Echo.co.uk and said, "She's an amazing artist. I still can't believe I got to sing with her. " The contestant also went on to say that Christina helped her calm her nerves before the big performance. "We rehearsed it through and I was worried I would sing her lyrics, so she said we would work it out onstage. She told me to keep eye contact with her. I thought she was really sweet. I liked her. Don't get me wrong, she was a professional, but at the same time, she didn't have to record a good luck message for me."
