Entourage stars, AdrianGrenier and Jeremy Piven havenot forgotten the people who inspired them to follow their dreams and make itin Hollywood. The two stars of the HBO hit series took time at this year’sSundance Film Festival to pay tribute to their mentors at the Bing Bar on Main street.

Adrian was reunited at The Creative Coalition’s 2011 TeacherMaking a Difference Awards Luncheon, with his 11th/12thgrade high school drama teacher, Mr. Schifman from NY’s LaGuardia High School. The former drama teacher is very proud of thework Grenier has done saying he is a “strong force of positive influence”.
And what lesson has Grenier learned from hisformer drama teacher? The “lesson of empathy. All of the selfish things you go thorough,the me, me, me, doesn’t have a place in mentoring.”
Emmy Award winning actor and Entourage co-star, Piven, took thetime to talk about his mother in a moving discussion about her role as hismentor and contributor to his career and life. “I’m about to cry likea grandmother on my knees right now. The hardest role I’ve ever had is notcrying right now.”
How sweet! The event, hosted by Curb Your Enthusiasm starCherly Hines, was set up to recognize outstanding teachers and supporteducation.
