The month of May and the finale of American Idol seems like a long ways off, but that doesn't mean the show hasn't booked it's finale performer yet!

This year, Lady Gaga is already set to perform on the show's season finale, proving that although American Idol may be a little different this season, with new judges, they can still book the best of the best to perform!

The show has just announced itjs 24 finalists, so while the contestants have a long way to go, at least they now have an extra incentive to want to make it to the finale. Although no details have been given about Gaga's performance yet, it is sure to be a hit and she will most likely perform something from her new album Born This Way, which releases in May.

And, as if Lady Gaga hasn't broken enough records as it is, this was the earliest American Idol has booked a finale performer in the shows history!

Until then, Gaga will be touring and promoting the new album. Not to mention, her brand new, highly anticipated video for Born This Way will be released today, February 28th!

This one show I won't be watching. I have my DVR set to record all the American Idol contestants. I didn't care for GAGA last time around. I love my DISH Network sponsored subscription though. I don't care for Mia, shes too pretentious and takes hreself waaaay too serious. As a choreographer, shes brilliant but as a judge it seems she likes to stir things up with her negative comments that make absolutely no sense with her florid speech patterns. Its like she enjoys tormenting the dancers even when they do well. Just like she did with Brandon in season 5
