Miley Cyrus FINALLY Comments on Salvia Smoking Incident

Last December Miley Cyrus made headlines after a video of the teen star smoking salvia from a bong surfaced. Although the substance is legal in the state of California, Miley received a ton of criticism from her fans, the media, and various organizations across the country.

Now as the March 2011 cover girl for Marie Claire Miley has finally decided to address the issue. When asked about "The Bong Incident" Miley said, "I'm not perfect.... I made a mistake... I'm disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans."

The Marie Claire reporter then asked, "But do you really think it was a mistake? Obviously college kids your age all over America are smoking bongs with a lot more than salvia in them."

Miley responded with, "But they're not Miley Cyrus. They're not role models. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for."

She needs a means to transition from the teen to adult. Disney created her young persona, maybe they could help by putting Miley in more adult roles. She has a chance to become a great film star as well as musician. She seems to want to move on but without the right people around her she may not be able to move forward.

i think, if she is really sorry, she wouldn´t do it at first time. I don´t hate her, but she always do the same. She comets and error, adn thenn she says sorry, I AM TIRED, Miley! if it´s wron don´t do it and that´s it.

alot of kids look up to her. If she wasn't a disney star and was a rockstar or something of that accord we'd expect it and accept it, thats the rep of a rocker or medal musician etc. But for someone whos on a kids show and our kids look up to them its unacceptable would you want your 4 year watching barney the dinasour getting high NO because that sends the wrong message to kids. I understand she's an adult now but kids still look up to her and watch her every move do you really want your kids taking after a person who keeps leading them in the direction she is. Sorry miley youre a nice girl, just shouldn't be a star of children shows.

lol all the people getting upset over it obviously have never tried salvia. It's retarded. When I did it, I became a chair for five minutes. It's not something to get all pissed off over, and she didn't even take that much so all she did was laugh. It was prob over the second the video was. Oh & btw, if salvia works as much as good as you want it to; then you'll never be wanting to try it again (: it's weird as hell and very unpleasent.

my little girl use to watch hannah montana and she saw that miley was smoking and she wants to try it i refuse to let her watch it again people do make mistakes but not when they are the role models of little kids i mean im 18 and i made mistakes but i think that if you are infuluenceing childeren then you should think really hard on the actions that they do
