Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to New York City.  Her family has a home in Long Island and she has been spending quite a lot of time roaming the Big Apple lately since her release from rehab!

But does Linday love the city enough to actually move there!?  According to her mom Dina Lohan, that's definitely a possiblity!

"She will be in New York a lot more going forward," Dina explained.  "She's actively looking for places in the city with her younger brother Michael."

Lindsay was spotted bar-hopping around the city this week with The City starlet Samantha Swerta.  Immediately after landing in NYC, she checked into a Times Square hotel, rather than staying at her family's home in Long Island -- and then hit the clubs. 

This probably isn't such a good idea considering Lindsay just recently got out of rehab, but just a few weeks ago Lindsay was also hanging out at the bars in NYC and insisted she wasn't drinking at all.

"She loves it here," Dina continued about the possible move. "And she has a lot of friends who already have places... so she might sublet."

So does this mean Lindsay is leaving California for good!?  Of course not!

"We're all in the entertainment business," Dina said. "We're all bi-costal."

Of course, nothing about the move is set in stone just yet.  Lindsay still has a lot to deal with back in California since she decided not to take the judge's plea deal in her alleged stolen necklace case.  Now, she'll have to go to trial to try and prove her innocence to a jury.
