Nicki Minaj is one of the hottest rappers on the scene right now and the success is continuing with her current single Super Bass.
However, Minaj recently revealed that the original plan wasn't to release Super Bass as the next single from her album Pink Friday and she was actually influenced by another popular star to do it - country singer, Taylor Swift!
Swift was interviewed a few weeks ago on a radio station and discussed how she was a huge fan of Nicki Minaj, particularly the song Super Bass. She then played a clip of the song on-air so everyone else could hear how awesome it was, too!
"Taylor Swift did her little interview about Super Bass and it took off in the states with the people sort of knowing it," Minaj explained to 102.7 KIIS FM. "It's just really uncanny how all that stuff happens. We didn't plan it like that."
Taylor had an 'uncanny' single release of her own back in August when her single Mine leaked days before she and her camp were ready to begin heavily promoting it. However, the success worked out for Swift, and fans still bought the single when it was officially released. Good thing she has such supportive fans!
Minaj and Swift will both be very busy this summer as they take part in two of the most talked about concert tours of the summer! Taylor will be headlining her very own Speak Now tour and Nicki will be joining miss Britney Spears on the road for the Femme Fatale tour! Will you be checking either of them out?!
