Avril Lavigne Releases Cover Art For 'Smile'
Avril Lavigne has released the cover for her new single Smile, and it's certainly a nice change from the moody art and photos we've seen on her previous CDs!
The Canadian singer recently postponed the Japanese leg of her world tour, and she's helping families affected by the devastating tsunami that hit the country this past March. Lavigne will re-schedule her concert dates, and according to The Daily Mail, she is working on
a t-shirt design "inspired by her love for Japan." The proceeds
will go to The Avril Lavigne Foundation: Comfort for Kids program, which helps youngsters overcome trauma resulting from natural disasters.

Lavigne said in a statement, "I want the people of Japan to know that they have been in my thoughts since the devastating disasters. Japan and my fans there have been so important to me and so supportive throughout my career. My heart goes out to the families of those who passed and are still missing as well as the survivors who are still living in shelters across the country. I hope my fans around the world will join me by showing their support for our friends in Japan."
