Ed Westwick Joins Hailee Steinfeld in 'Romeo & Juliet'

According to Variety, Ed Westwick has just been cast as bad-boy Tybalt in the upcoming remake of Romeo and Juliet. True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld will play Juliet while Holly Hunter is slated to take on the role of the nurse.

The coveted role of Romeo is still up for grabs -- though we're not sure anyone could do as good of a job as Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 adaptation.

Shooting for the new movie is scheduled to take place in Italy this summer and will be directed by Carlo Carlie.

It was also recently announced that Westwick has signed on for a role in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar alongside Josh Lucas, Naomi Watts, Armie Hammer and ironically, Leonardo DiCaprio.

What do you think of Westwick taking on the role of Tybalt in Romeo & Juliet?! Is this a good casting choice?

I think that Ed Westwick is a great person to play the part of Tybalt. I wonder who will be cast as Romeo. Also, I didn't care for Leonardo DiCaprio did that great of a job in the 1990 remake of Romeo and Juliet...I hated that version!
