'Eclipse' Earns Eight MTV Movie Award Nominations

The nominees for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards were announced on Tuesday, and not surprisingly, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earned a whopping eight nominations, including Best Movie, Best Fight, Best Kiss, Best Female Performance (Kristen Stewart) and Best Male Performance (Robert Pattinson).

Inception wasn't far behind the hit vampire franchise with seven nominations, and contenders in the Best Movie category also include Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Black Swan and The Social Network.

Stewart is up against Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Jennifer Aniston, and Natalie Portman for the top female acting prize, while Pattinson is competing with Daniel Radcliffe, Jesse Eisenberg, Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron. The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday, June 5 at 9 pm EST. Click here to see the complete list of nominees!
