Christina Aguilera Paid $225,000 Per Episode on 'The Voice'
Christina Aguilera is the only female coach on NBC's newest hit show The Voice, but does that mean she is getting a special treatment behind the scenes, too!?
Well, after an interview with the coaches and NBC head Paul Telegdy, sources from The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Christina is actually making the same amount of money per episode as the 3 other coaches, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine, COMBINED!
The THR source said that Aguilera makes $225,000 per episode, while her three competitors and co-coaches are only making $75,000. However, the mag also reports that, despite a salary difference, all the coaches are set to return for the show's second season, which has already been picked up by NBC and will be in the audition phase soon! It was also confirmed that next season will feature more of the very popular blind auditions with more contestant backstories, as well.

In the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Telegdy revealed how confident he was in the show before the ratings even came in. Because The Voice has extremely high production and acquisition costs, it was a major risk to air the show, but Telegdy said he was "willing to pay a premium", and it looks like it worked out for him with the show's success!
The magazine also reported that the cost for each hour of the show is $2.3 million. However, despite these costs, the show will come back for a second season and NBC is even reportedly hoping to air a fall and spring season in 2012-2013.
What do you think of Christina's salary!? Overpaid or was it what you expected?
