'Salt' Sequel In The Works!

Last summer the action flick Salt grossed $300 million worldwide, and with that kind of success, it's not surprising that Sony Pictures has started production on a sequel starring Angelina Jolie.

According to Deadline, Kurt Wimmer has already begun writing the new film, which will once again star Jolie as a CIA agent and Russian spy.  Since the last movie had an ending that would allow for a possible sequel, there just seems to be no reason not to move forward with it!

While there were previously talks of a sequel to Wanted, the project didn't come through.  However, this time Jolie has admitted to wanting to take part in the sequel for Salt, that is, assuming it all comes together nicely.

Because the film's sequel has just begun to be written, filming most likely won't begin for a while, which is perfect for Jolie because she and Brad Pitt seem to be loving spending time together - alone and with their family.  Both stars just finished wrapping up promotion for their movies Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Tree of Life.

Would you see the sequel for Salt!?

I enjoyed watching Salt. Angelina Jolie did great in that movie and that was a twist I wasn't expecting. However, I wouldn't mind seeing a Salt 2.
