There were two #1 movies at the box office this weekend... Cowboys and Aliens and The Smurfs. According to The Hollywood Reporter both movies grossed an estimated $36.2 million in North America.

Coming in third was Captain America: The First Avenger with $24.9 million. Followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 with $21.9 million, making it the first movie in the franchise to earn $1 billion worldwide.

Rounding out the top 5 was the Steve Carell/Ryan Gosling comedy, Crazy, Stupid, Love with $19.3 million.
