Demi Lovato has been such an inspiration to many around theworld after speaking out about her troubles she went through earlier this year, mentally and physically. Now in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, theformer Disney darling is speaking out about what fueled her issues with herweight.
“Sometimes, I still think to this day, ‘I wishI wasn’t so watched,’” she said. “I just felt that being on camerafor my first job wasn’t the smartestdecision. On TV, you have wardrobe fittings, you have four camerason you at all times, and you’re worried about your angles and your lighting andyour shots.”
Lovato gained 30 pounds during treatment last winter, but she’s happierand healthier than she ever was before. After people started criticizing her appearance and apparent weight gain at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Lovato wore abody-hugging dress, she took to her Twitter to defend her curvier andhealthier figure.
"I've gained weight. Get over it. That's what happenswhen you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER,” she tweeted.
While Demi may have been going through this hard timeinside, she never once let anyone know it was breaking her down.
"I was never aware of anything going on regarding herweight," Camp Rock executive producer Alan Sacks said. "She nevershowed anything to me other than love and joy."
Thankfully, Demi is happy and healthy again and at the endof the day, that’s all that matters.
