With a little over a month until the 2011 American Music Awards (November 20th), this morning, recording artists Nicki Minaj and Pitbull took to the J.W. Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, to reveal this year's nominations!

The over all summary!? With a handful of front running talent, Adele leads this year with four nominations (kinda expected that). Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry follow with three noms each! In additon, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull collected two noms respectively. 

Katy Perry and Pitbull were announced as performers for the 39^th annual AMAs. Additional acts and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks. As for one of the most coveted awards of the show, this year’s 2011 Artist of the Year nominees are: Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Taylor Swift.
