Miley Cyrus has previously said that she is going to put her music career on hold for a while so she can focus on acting and her personal life, but when it comes to charity, it looks like the young star is willing to give music another shot.

Cyrus will cover the Bob Dylan hit Like a Rolling Stone on an upcoming tribute album to the great artist called Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.  The proceeds from the album sales will go to the human rights organization.  A rep for the organization says the album is to support Amnesty International's "life saving work to protect human rights around the world...and to inspire [fans] to stand up for justice, freedom and human rights."  Cyrus will be joined on the album by stars like Adele, Ke$ha and Sting, to name a few.

The former Hannah Montana star is no stranger to covering popular tunes.  On her most recent album, Miley recorded a version of Every Rose Has It's Thorn, which was praised by Bret Michaels.  She also recently performed Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, amidst some criticism, and covered a Dylan tune during one of her concerts last spring.

On top of that, Cyrus has been rather charitable in her past, too.  Most recently, she went to Haiti alongside the Sharkey Hearing Foundation to give hearing aids to young boys and girls.  For the Bob Dylan tribute album, though, we will have to wait until sometime next year!

Do you think Miley has what it takes to cover this classic hit?!
