Looks like there won't be a rose for Jennifer Love Hewitt!

Earlier this year, there was a rumor that Jennifer went out on a date with ABC's newest Bachelor (and former Bachelorette contestant), Ben Flajnik. USA Today reports that while Ben did in fact go out with JLH, she was the one who initiated the date, but Ben ended up not being interested! Yikes!

Ben said of the experience, "She reached out and wanted to come up to the winery, which she did. We went out to dinner and just kind of chatted about life and the experience [of the show]."

That's certainly an aggressive move on Jennifer's part -- she didn't just ask Ben out, but she flew all the way to Napa just to go on a date! Ben went on to explain why he wasn't interested. He said, "She's a nice girl, but it was right in the middle of the time when I was deciding to be the Bachelor. When this is all said and done, ending up with a Hollywood celebrity is not something that I want."

Well, Ben certainly has had MANY a lady to choose from and we'll be seeing all of it unfold come January, when the ABC show premieres. Though if he doesn't want a Hollywood relationship, we hope he doesn't end up with a woman who is looking for reality stardom. And while Jennifer didn't quite make the cut, maybe it's time she looks into another reality TV franchise -- Millionaire Matchmaker! Ahem, Patti Stanger, get ON it.
