Did anyone see this one coming!? After 14 months of marriage, funny man Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry Friday in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand said in a statement. "I'll always adore her and know we'll remain friends." The couple faced divorce rumors earlier in the month, but both halves of the duo denied them on several occasions.

Speculation about a split began just a few days ago when photographs appeared online of the married couple spending Christmas apart after an alleged "massive fight." Although we don't know the reason for the fight and divorce for sure, sources revealed that Katy felt Russell didn't respect her parents' Christian beliefs and it drove the couple apart.

We're so totally sad to see this marriage end and we TOTALLY didn't see this one coming! Of course, we wish Katy and Russell the best during this difficult time.
