Miley Cyrus had been taking a little break from Twitter while on vacation with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in Costa Rica for the holidays, but that all changed after an incident in paradise caused her to feel the need to defend herself on the social media site.
A video has surfaced of Cyrus telling fans she didn't have time to take more photographs, to which one fan responded by screaming "a******" after her. Miley responded with a "what the f***?!" The clip starts with Cyrus posing with fans, but then when she saw her helicopter waiting she politely said, "Sorry, gotta go honey," and left before taking photos with the remaining fans, which is when the comments were made. After the video was seen on a local news channel and blew up on the web, Miley took to Twitter to defend herself. "Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays but just to clear something up I would NEVER swear to a fan. When someone yells something SO rude making ME look like an "a******" infront of fans who I am more than happy 2 take a picture w/ i cant tolerate that kind of rudeness. Every1 who was there apologized 4 the womans brusque behavior. She obviously wasnt a fan. Hope every1 has a Merry Christmas! LOVE 2 ALL!" she explained.
Poor Miley -- I personally don't think she meant her comment to be malicious towards her fans in any way. She was rightfully frustrated and while maybe cursing in front of young fans isn't the best example to set, I can see where she might've felt the need to blow off some steam!
Do you think Miley's comment was completely inappropriate, or valid in the situation?!
