Christina Aguilera Admits 2011 Was a Tough Year
There’s no question that Christina Aguilera had a rough 2011. It all began back at the Super Bowl in February when she flubbed the National Anthem, then was arrested for public intoxication, went through major scrutiny for her weight AND to top it off, she got to divorced from Jordan Bratman!
The Burlesque covers Marie Claire magazine and explains how she dealt with the roller coaster ride during the past 12 months. “That was a rough year,” she tells the mag. “It’s hard for anyone to go through that in public. But when you’re a celebrity and under a microscope, it’s 58 million times harder. I grew an even thicker skin after that hard year.”

When it comes down to the whole body subject, it’s definitely old news to the Grammy winner. "I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. My son is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me."
