Heather Locklear Hospitalized After Mixing Prescription Drugs With Alcohol

Heather Locklear has been hospitalized after digesting a scary mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol, causing her sister to feel it necessary to call paramedics!

According to TMZ, the actress' sister called the ambulance on Thursday afternoon when she feared her sister was in danger from consuming the toxic mixture. After medics examied Locklear, they determined she needed to be hospitalized. Luckily for the Melrose Place star, a hospital spokesperson has confirmed to the gossip site that as of Thursday night she was responsive and responding well to treatment, with doctors hoping she will be released soon.

Hmm...could this incident possibly be related to Locklear's recent split from her fiance Jack Wagner?! Remember...this isn't the first time she's been hospitalized for taking meds. Back in 2008, medics were called, too, when her doctor feared she overdosed on prescription drugs, although it turned out to be a false alarm.

Either way, we wish Heather the best and hope for a full and speeeeeedy recovery!

Do you think Heather Locklear's abuse of prescription drugs/alcohol had anything to do with her breakup!?

Locklear, the once Melrose Place star, now age 50, has battled with anxiety and depression for decades, is now searching for help in her own personal way, and people who are close to the celebrity are having faith she'll recover as soon as possible. "Her relatives and friends haven't surrendered hope, however they understand that for her to get recover from alcohol and other drug abuse, she must want it for herself," her representatives report. "She's the only one who can determine if her rehabilitation will be successful." In spite of some previous reports, the actress is not actually at a short-term treatment facility, instead having decided to pursue recovery through an in-patient drug rehab program for AOD abuse.
