Hot Young Stars Zac Efron & Taylor Swift Have Flirty Dinner Date -- Are They Dating?!

Taylor Swift and Zac Efron became friendly when they co-starred as animated characters' voices in the upcoming Dr. Seuss film The Lorax, but new details that have emerged about their January 6 dinner date in Los Angeles make their relationship seem a bit more than just platonic!

According to Us Weekly, an onlooker says that the duo, who dined at an Italian eatery, "were deep in conversation and very giggly." This get together was also not the first time in the same week that the duo hung out -- they had dinner with Justin Bieber earlier in the week, too!

However, let's not get our hopes up too quickly! A friend of Swift told the mag, "They were in L.A. doing press stuff together and after they were done they decided to grab dinner," with an Efron pal adding, "They have been friends for a long time."

Let's be real, though -- both of these totally hot young stars are loooooong overdue for a relationship! Zac ended his long term romance with co-star Vanessa Hudgens back in December 2010, and Swift hasn't dated anyone since her short romance with Jake Gyllenhaal ended right around the same time. Coincidence much?! You be the judge!
