Jim Carrey's Daughter Going to Hollywood for 'American Idol'
Jim Carrey is one proud dad. The movie star's daughter Jane Carrey has been passed through the auditions on American Idol and is going to Hollywood!! Well, the Hollywood part probably isn't terribly exciting for her, but making it through the auditions certainly is!

"The last name definitely helps and hurts. There's this pressure to be better because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying 'you only got there because of [your name]. I'm here to make my place in the world," Jane said before she went in to audition.
The 24-year-old singer performed a rendition of the Bonnie Raitt classic Let's Give Them Someting to Talk About. And while Jennifer Lopez and the other judges advused her that she needed to better connect with her audience, they some serious potential and gave her a ticket to ride.
Lopez reminisced about her days as a dancer on In Living Color, a comedic TV show in which Jane's dad starred in the '90s. "You remember me? I was one of the Fly Girls!" said Lopez.
And Papa Jim couldn't be prouder of his daughter. Ryan Seacrest talked to Jim after his daughter was passed through and said, "She's so wonderful and amazing to me. I can't wait for the world to understand what she has inside of her. This is going to be a fantastic year."
