Vanessa Hudgens & Austin Butler Take Their PDA to Hawaii!

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler are certainly taking an early lead as Least Shy Couple of 2012. After already spotted once making out in Maui once this weekend, they gave the paparazzi a show as they watched the sunset while wading through warm Hawaiian waters.

Vanessa is midway through her press tour for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, but decided to take a makeout break with her beau in Hawaii. And the pics are pretty beautiful. The gorgeous lighting, the romantic setting -- it's almost looks like these photos were planned...

I'm sure these two are in fact smitten with one another, but don't these photos look kind of staged? This looks less like a paparazzi candid, and more like the poster for the latest Nicholas Sparks movie. I wonder if part of the motivation behind this PDA marathon is to make ex Zac Efron jealous? Wouldn't be too crazy. It's like a girl changing her profile pic on Facebook to one with her new boyfriend, knowing full well that it will show up in her ex boyfriend's newsfeed. Except it's celebrities -- so the "newsfeed" is made up of tabloids and Entertainment Tonight segments.

Maybe that's just wishful thinking, as we always had a soft spot for the teen dream power coupe that was Zanessa. But this new couple is handsome and seem to like each o ther, so we'll give them a shot... but Vanaustin? It just doesn't have the same ring...
