George Clooney Talks His Normal Life & His Friendship With Brad Pitt in 'The Hollywood Reporter'

George Clooney is of the most charming and charismatic people in Hollywood. He lives the perfect glamor-filled life of gorgeous girlfriends, celebrities BFF’s, trips around the world whenever he wants, and everybody adores him. Seems like he has it all, right? Well, according to George himself, he’s just a normal guy!

He sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and explained how life may not be what people expect. The mag says, “He lives with chronic pain (the result of a devastating accident from 2005); admits to bouts of loneliness…makes his home on the ‘wrong’ side of the Hollywood Hills in a comfortable but unpretentious Tudor-style Studio City estate; and watches ESPN and Modern Family as well as everything from The Soup to Jersey Shore. In order words, his life is disturbingly like yours.” You mean George is GTL-ing just like the rest of us??

Okay, so far he’s just like the rest of the world, but one thing he has up on us is his pal Brad Pitt. How many of us can say we’re friends with BRAD PITT?! Clooney explains, “We’re good friends, but it’s different from what people think, meaning we don’t spend a lot of time together. He has been to my home in Como; we motorcycle together. But until recently, I hadn’t seen Brad in a year.”

But just because he is friends with THE biggest names in Hollywood, doesn’t mean he’s out partying the night away in the most exclusive bars that you practically need a key to get into. The man hasn’t even had a single cocktail since New Year’s. “I drink at times too much,” he admits. “I do enjoy drinking, and there have been times in my life when it’s crossed the line from being fun to having a drink late at night for absolutely no reason. So what I do is, I stop.”

All in all, George is just your typical run-of-the-mill man in the world who enjoys watching Jersey Shore and riding his motorcycle with his buddy Brad when they actually get a chance to bond. Who knew?

What did you think about George’s interview? Anything that surprised you?
