Glee  might not be as popular with television audiences as it once was, but the show's creator Ryan Murphy is still in a musical frame of mind! According to Deadline, he is hard at work on his next project -- a movie musical called One Hit Wonders. And even though the script isn't even finished, he's already got quite the cast lined up!

One Hit Wonders is about three pop singers from the 1990s (Cameron Diaz, Gwenyth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon) who each had one big hit and are now trying to make a comeback by banding together into a supergroup. Beyonce Knowles and Andy Samberg are also set to star, though specifics about their roles have not been announced.

Murphy is writing the script with his Glee collaborators Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan. The film's original music will be written by Samberg and his Lonely Island partners!

I'm already super-excited for this movie, even though it will probably be a while before it hits theaters. One of the most fun parts about the whole thing? Murphy, Diaz, Witherspoon, and Paltrow all came up with the idea for the film while at dinner together one night. They all expressed interest in working with each other, brainstormed a bit, and thus One Hit Wonders was born!
