Happy Birthday Elizabeth Olsen!
Rising star Elizabeth Olsen celebrates her 23rd birthday today and we here at Hollywire are sending her lots of birthday wishes and luck!
We had the pleasure of meeting this incredible up-and-comer at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and were immediately smitten!
Here are 5 Fun Facts about this talented young woman and birthday girl!

1. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Chase Olsen was born on February 16, 1989. Lizzie shares the same last name as Mary-Kate and Ashley, and for good reason, she's their youngest sibling! But aside from sharing a last name and some facial features, Lizzie is in a class all her own!

2. Lizzie made her film debut at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival as the lead in Martha Marcy May Marlene. Olsen was cast as the lead just two weeks before the film was to set shooting!
3. Lizzie discovered the acting bug after trips with the family to many a Broadway show, and she explained to a reporter once that the irony was that she "was always the performer in the family." While she did make a few appearances in her twin sister's earlier movies, she never actually auditioned for a movie role until she was at NYU.

4. She was coined by Vanity Fair as one of the fresh faces of 2012, and we could not agree more! She also appeared in two more movies this year at the Sundance Film Festival, one of which, Liberal Arts has been generating losts of buzz for yet another stellar performance! We heard that the film got a standing ovation at the close of it's premiere!

5. 2013 boasts another great year for Lizzie Olsen as she has two more films to be released! Look out for Very Good Girls in which Olsen stars alongside Dakota Fanning as two BFF's who make a pact to lose their viriginity the summer after they graduate high school. After they both fall in love with the same street artist, played by Anton Yelchin, the two girls find their friendship tested for the first time.
She is also set to star alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Kill Your Darlings. A murder in 1944 draws together the great poets of the beat generation: Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs. Olsen takes on the role of Edie Parker, Jack Kerouac's first wife.
We cannot wait for yet another amazing year of Lizzie Olsen!
