'Hunger Games' Star Josh Hutcherson's Interview With Elle: 'I'm a Big Romantic'
As if we needed another reason to fall in love with Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson, he decided to reveal his romantic side to Elle magazine. Do you like star gazing and long walks on the beach? If so, Josh is your kind of guy!
“I’m a big romantic, traditional cheesy guy,” he admits. “I’m all about going to the beach under the stars. That’s a real date. But other than that, dinner and a movie is classy.” Is anybody else swooning like we are?!

With the Hunger Games being the most anticipated flick of the year (no exaggeration), Hutcherson has a lot of hype to live up too. No pressure, right? Luckily, not only did he land the coveted role of Peeta Mellark in the film, he also felt so in tune with his character that it could be hard to tell he’s only acting!
“I read all three books in five days… I’ve never read a character I’ve connected with more—I am Peeta.” But he’s not the only one who noticed what he perfect he was for the role. Director of HG Gary Ross reflected on Josh’s audition and how easy it was to choose him as Peeta. “He’s so unbelievably charming,” says Ross. “When he auditioned, Suzanne Collins and I looked at each other. We’d both been knocked out.” We couldn’t agree more!
After the battle film is released, Hutcherson may be able to at super star status and get to work with anyone of his choice! So, who would be pick? Duh, Ryan Gosling! “I’m a big fan of Ryan Gosling as an actor because of his subtleties and how he internalizes a lot of the emotions. For me, that’s kind of my style, so he’s definitely a big person I look up to,” Josh said. Isn’t everybody of fan of Ryan?!
