Katy Perry in Talks to Develop a 3D Concert Movie!

If Justin Bieber can do it, so can Katy Perry, right? According to Billboard, the blue-haired star is in talks with Paramount and Imagine Entertainment to make a 3D concert flick all about Katy! How cool is that?! While the process is still in the very early stages, Katy and her team are very excited about the upcoming project and really want to make it a for sure thing.

3D concert films have been extremely successful in the past couple years. With Miley Cyrus kicking things off in 2008 with Hannah Montana / Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, the Jonas Brothers immediately followed up with Jonas Brother: The 3D Concert Experience.

After the tragic death of Michael Jackson, his tour rehearsals were put on the big screen for Michael Jackson: This Is It. And let’s not forget the mother of all concert films, Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never!

JB’s documentary-style concert flick grossed $73 million and actually holds a box office record! Perry’s music experience is expected to be the same sort of concept – a behind-the-scenes look at her life and actual performance footage.

With Katy’s glittered-out outfits and all the madness that goes on during her shows, we have a feeling it’s definitely going to be quite the movie-going experience!
