Meryl Streep Takes Home Third Oscar After Winning Best Actress at the 84th Annual Academy Awards!

For the first time in 30 years, Meryl Streep has finally taken home her third Oscar! The actress was nominated for Best Actress for her role in The Iron Lady, and beat out stars like Michelle Williams and Glenn Close to finally get another Oscar win.

This was Streep's 17th time being nominated, making her the most-nominated celebrity by the Academy. With this win, only Katharine Hepburn has more wins than the talented actress (she's gotten four) and the three other actors who have also taken home three Academy Awards.

Before the show on Sunday night, the winner of Best Actress was probably the most up in the air, considering several of the nominees have won at past awards shows this season. Streep's moving winning speech just made me fall in love with her even more and I could not be more thrilled to see her take home this big win tonight!
