Valentine's Day Fashion: Stars Looking Rosy in Pink!

It's Valentine's Day and whether you're coupled or single, there is one way to get into the romantic spirit AND be on-trend all at once: By wearing PINK.
Pink has been a hot color to wear this winter and was all over the runways for the 2012 spring collections. So naturally, some of Hollywood's biggest style icons have been picking up on it. And the styles aren't just romantic dresses -- but pants, scarves, coats and even hair (ahem, Ms. Minaj).

The fashion industry has been throwing out neutrals this past year, and replacing them with bright colors. Color blocking has been a huge trend for the past year (wearing big blocks of complimentary colors), and pink is a great replacement for a neutral shade, like beige or gray.
We're in love with Miranda Kerr's springy outfit -- the sheer white blouse and the textured high-waisted pink skirt -- the colors are romantic, while the shape and fabrics are business-casual -- but, like, sexy business-casual (it IS Miranda Kerr, after all).

And while Leighton Meester's gown she wore while filming Gossip Girl this week isn't exactly ready-to-wear, it's definitely a style that can be seen in more consumer-friendly clothes. The delicate layers of cotton-candy pink fabric give the dramatic gown a playful nature. And the color goes perfectly with that ivory jacket. But maybe skip the tiara unless you're, you know, a princess.
And if you want to go a little MORE daring, make like Emmy Rossum and pick up a hot magenta dress for a night on the town. That kind of bold color looks so rocker-chic with a leather jacket. And the oversized shades make her look just too-cool. Good thing Emmy's so sweet and smiley, otherwise we'd be intimidated.
But probably my favorite way to wear pink this spring is through colored denim. Even with just a t-shirt and a long necklace, pink pants make for a casual, effortlessly stylish otufit. Throw on a bold-colored blouse (love pink and orange) and gray heels, and you're ready for a night on the town.
