Jennifer Hudson was tacked on as a last minute performer for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night, after Whitney Houston's sudden death on Saturday afternoon.

Hudson paid tribute to Houston by covering her big hit I Will Always Love You in a beautiful and breathtaking performance that gave me chills! The singer had to fight back tears while giving her rendition of the song, but sounded amazing while honoring one of her musical inspirations. According to Us Weekly, the Dreamgirls star was "sobbing hysterically" while rehearsing the number on Sunday afternoon. The mag's source explained that she had to re-start the song multiple times before getting it right because of her tears. All in all, though, Hudson gave a beautiful tribute that will always be remembered in Grammy history!
