The highly anticipated film, The Hunger Games is only 3 days away from it's big premiere and the film's earnings are already the talk of the town. Box office observers and rival studios are expecting the film to have a shocking $130 - $140 million opening, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you know how huge the hype behind this film is and an opening that big really isn't unfathomable. However, earnings of that level usually come from marquee sequels like The Dark Knight.
The projected earnings are almost double that of the first Twilight film, which brought in $69.6 million and The Hunger Games could take the title of biggest March opener of all time away from Alice in Wonderland if it surpasses $116 million.
What do you think of The Hunger Games expected earnings? Too high? Too low?
