Miley Cyrus is no stranger to using Twitter to speak her mind. But her recent post of a quote from physicist Lawrence Krauss about the merits of science vs. religion has got her in deep water with her Christian fanbase.

Earlier this week, Miley tweeted the following quote: You are all stardust. You couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren't created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live.

Thought-provoking stuff, right? Well, some of her fans didn't think so, and took to Twitter to fire back their outrage. EW is reporting that one fan responded, "Forget that Jesus? :/" and other followers accused her of losing her Southern Baptist faith and told her to go to hell.

But Miley isn't backing down, and we love her for it! How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily? she tweeted on Tuesday. And then she quoted Albert Einstein: Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind. Well put, Miley! Way to use patience and intelligence to stand up to the bullies!
