Two and a half more weeks until The Hunger Games hits theaters. We can do it! But to make the wait a whole lot more bearable, here's an amazing new clip featuring Katniss and Cinna's first meeting!

In the scene, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) are in the prep room before the first Tribute Parade. One of the first things he says to her is that he's sorry she has to be here. It's the first time anyone in the Capitol has acknowledged that being chosen for the Hunger Games is not exactly a good thing. As Katniss says, "Most people just congratulate me." To which Cinna replies, "Well, I don't see the point in that."
Yes! In just a few lines, Kravitz, director Gary Ross, and the team of screenwriters manage to completely inform the audience of what kind of person Cinna is. We immediately like him -- and so does Katniss! Well done, filmmakers!
And I love the "documentary" feel of the scene. The camera motion is purposefully shaky and rough, which gives a completely necessary sense of rawness and uneasiness about the whole situation. And Cinna's earrings are perfect -- not too over-the-top, but just fashionable and "Capitol" enough.
What do you think of Lenny Kravitz's portrayal of Cinna in this clip?
